Currently we are looking for both plastic artists and those involved in writing/literature. Heck, whatever kind of art you make is okay. Who are we to judge?
We do ask:
- that you be over the age of 16 (if you are younger but believe you qualify, write a note of explanation why you are ready now)
- that your project is fully-developed and you are ready to begin work on it.
- that your project is socially-minded
- that you have not completed more than a bachelor’s degree. You need not have proper education, even those without a GED are encouraged to apply. Yalies are not.
- that you have a realistic time-frame for your project (ideally no more than 6 months to a year)
- you have a realistic budget for your project. (ideally no more than $5,000 US; we understand that film/video projects cost more, we will take that into account)
- that you are comfortable being filmed at various points for documentary purposes
- that you are open to being mentored as a first step into the foundation
- that you are willing to write occasional blog posts if asked
If you are accepted, we do ask that you consider donating 10% of your profits the first year you do make a profit. It’s not a requirement by any means, but we do think it would be a cool thing to do.
Anyway, we will have a initial application up soon, if you think you would like to be a part of what we’re doing, please fill it out. We will be in e-mail contact once you do.
